Super Swinger -- Shannon Slams 6 Hits Friday, September 15th, 2023 "Believe it or not," said Port Royal center fielder Wes Shannon, "they threw me some good pitches today." That would be hard to believe for anyone who saw him dispose of the Great Lakers with a great 6-hit performance. "He made it look easy," said the Pure Michigan manager, who saw his team fall to the Port Royal Disaster, 20-5. "Hats off to him!" Wes Shannon singled in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 9th. In 73 games this year Shannon has posted a .316 average and put up these numbers: 5 home runs, 58 RBIs and 46 runs scored. |
