Shannon Hit String Snapped at 21 Friday, September 1st, 2023 After 21 games, Wes Shannon had his hitting streak ended abruptly today by Hamilton at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. The Disaster center fielder failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats and his brief fling with fame has come to a halt. But Shannon seemed to care less -- it didn't matter as Port Royal took a 2-0 victory from the Coyotes. Shannon didn't dwell on the streak saying, "It was good while it lasted. If it had to end, I'm glad it ended with a victory." Shannon's current batting average stands at .299 and he has chalked up 4 home runs and 44 RBIs. |
