August's Best Starter Named in 3AAA Friday, September 1st, 2023 There's something about a young rookie winning the M3L Triple A Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Cris Herrera, a 21-year-old starter for the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes. In August, he topped off the month with a 4-0 mark and 1.97 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 32 innings, fanned 28 and held opposing teams to a .177 average. So far this year Herrera has compiled a 11-4 record with a 4.23 ERA. |
