Red-Hot King Scorches Coyotes Wednesday, September 14th, 2022 What a day for Zach King of the Sunset District Fog! A 5-hit hitting spree! That doesn't happen every day! He ripped Hamilton pitching apart at Fog Park and sparked the Fog to a 14-2 victory. He wrote his name in the record books, finishing his special day 5 for 5. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," King told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid that." Zach King singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th. For the year King has hit at a .286 clip with 26 RBIs, 2 home runs and 28 runs scored. |
