5-Hit Barrage by Parkinson Monday, August 8th, 2022 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Phil Parkinson of the Wilmington Bay Hawks. Parkinson went on a tear at Ballpark of Wilmington and cracked hit after hit off Houston pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 28-year-old first baseman had a career 5-for-5 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell 'em we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview. Parkinson got the accolades today, but the Houston BC walked off the field with a 7-4 win. Phil Parkinson singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year Parkinson is batting .325 with 4 home runs. |
