Big Bat Pays Off, Sweeny Player of the Week Monday, September 4th, 2023 Not every ball that came off Blair Sweeny's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Grim Reapers. For his exploits, Sweeny was named this week's USPL Single A Player of the Week award. The Grim catcher put up 10 hits in 19 at-bats and no home runs while hitting .526 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. This year Sweeny is batting .364 with 1 home run and 31 RBIs. In 69 games he has scored 29 times. |
