Phoenix Shuts out Expos, Huerta Winner Saturday, June 10th, 2023 In an almost effortless performance, Oliver Huerta of the Hotspur U-21 shot down the Expos 3-0 on a 5-hit shutout. His skipper said, "Oliver was just locating so well and using his pitches... not leaving anything over the plate." Huerta recorded 3 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing. In the postgame press conference, the Niagara Falls manager said, "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game like he can and we couldn't get a key hit off him." Up to now Huerta has recorded a record of 3-2. In 8 starts he has fanned 44 batters in 57.1 innings with a 3.30 ERA. |
