Sánchez Selected SA's Best Player Tuesday, September 26th, 2023 Rafael Sánchez took USSL Single A by storm this year and he did it all at the age of 20. For his spectacular campaign, the Phoenix Hotspur U-21 star has been named the 2023 USSL Single A Outstanding Hitter Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is pretty overwhelming," said the right fielder. On the season he compiled a .324 batting average to go with a .385 on-base percentage. The native of San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic also added 24 doubles, 6 triples, 15 home runs, 70 RBIs and 52 runs scored. Magali Lenidas of the Idaho Falls Chukars finished second in voting, while Juan Montés of the Columbia River Rats finished third. |
