José Ruíz of the York came to the plate 5 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against the Bulls. "It was a great day for me, but a disappointing one for our fans," he said to the reporters covering the game. "I wish I could have won it for them. They like stats, but they love winning." In the postgame press conference the Mt. Vernon skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink. I am just glad we escaped with a win. Ruíz was lethal."
