Horton Tosses Shutout Friday, July 9th, 2021 Virginia Beach hurler Pat Horton was at his best as he whitewashed the Chesapeake Continentals 11-0 today. "He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said the Chesapeake manager. "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit." Horton fired a 1-hitter and totaled 3 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout performance. So far in 13 appearances this season, Horton has recorded 5 wins and sustained 5 losses.
