Gustavo Cortéz Picked SAA's Best Player Wednesday, October 5th, 2022 Gustavo Cortéz took USSL Double A by storm this year and he did it all at the age of 20. For his spectacular campaign, the Little Caesars Hot N Readys star has been named the 2022 USSL Double A Outstanding Hitter Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is pretty overwhelming," said the catcher. On the season he compiled a .315 batting average to go with a .404 on-base percentage. The native of Panama, Panama also added 24 doubles, 1 triple, 11 home runs, 43 RBIs and 56 runs scored. Carroll Kline of the Long Island Seawolves finished second in voting, while Jorge Flores of the Marquette Miners finished third. |
