Herons Barrett Chosen August's Best in 3AA Thursday, September 1st, 2022 There's something about a young rookie winning the M3L Double A Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Mike Barrett, a 26-year-old starter for the Glendale Herons. In August, he topped off the month with a 5-0 mark and 2.00 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 36 innings, fanned 23 and held opposing teams to a .259 average. To date this season Barrett sports a 7-6 mark with a 4.05 ERA in 15 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .290 batting average and has 73 strikeouts in 102.1 innings. |
