Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Ibarra Friday, June 3rd, 2022 The Hotspur Reserves proved to be mere mortals today as they lost to the Targaryens 3-2, but Alejandro Ibarra continued his god-like hitting as he collected 1 hit and ran his hitting streak to 25 games. When asked about his torrid-hitting shortstop, the Phoenix skipper said, "Ibarra is playing great and is on fire now. Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Ibarra was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said, "We lost the game. Nothing else really matters." Alejandro Ibarra flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. In 12 games this season Ibarra is batting .462 with 18 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 8 runs and driven in 8. |
