Rodríguez Razor-Sharp, Shuts out Bloomington Thursday, August 18th, 2022 Rubén Rodríguez effectively shut down the Longnecks today, blanking them 6-0 on 3 hits, ringing up 3 strikeouts and allowing 5 walks. The Ogres pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on. "I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Rodríguez said after the game, "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there." The Longnecks skipper said, "We had some opportunities, but weren't able to execute. We just didn't swing the bats very well today." This season Rodríguez has a 2-6 record with a 5.81 ERA in 9 starts. |
