Church Selected 3L's Best Player Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022 Edwin Church took Menard's Third League by storm this year and he did it all at the age of 24. For his spectacular campaign, the Oakland Oaks star has been named the 2022 Third League Outstanding Hitter Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is pretty overwhelming," said the catcher. On the season he compiled a .355 batting average to go with a .435 on-base percentage. The native of Fresno, California also added 30 doubles, 1 triple, 15 home runs, 54 RBIs and 61 runs scored. John Brewer of the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC finished second in voting, while Todd Williams of the Oakland Oaks finished third. |
