Ortega of Thunder Bay Named Best Pitcher Tuesday, November 1st, 2022 The votes are in for the 2022 Third League Outstanding Pitcher Award. It has been bestowed on Ramón Ortega of the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC. The 33-year-old Northern Lions BC ace finished the year with a 12-3 mark, logged 18 starts, threw 136 innings, yielded 110 hits, struck out 152 and held the opposition to a .218 batting average. José Reyna of the Oakland Oaks finished second in voting, while Matt Webber of the Oakland Oaks finished third. |
