Brooks Fires Shutout in Divided Win Tuesday, October 4th, 2022 Leslie Brooks effectively shut down the Nuggets today, blanking them 8-0 on 3 hits, ringing up 9 strikeouts and allowing 1 walk. The Divided pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on. "I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Brooks said after the game, "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there." The Nuggets skipper said, "We had some opportunities, but weren't able to execute. We just didn't swing the bats very well today." This year Brooks has made 22 starts, thrown 145 innings, fanned 137 batters and walked 72. His won-lost record is 7-8 with a 4.78 ERA. |
