Flamingos Spellbound, Jiménez Hurls No-Hitter Thursday, August 18th, 2022 It was a fantastic day for Félix Jiménez of the Rocky Mountain Nuggets and a lousy day for the Las Vegas Flamingos. His pitching artistry completely befuddled and bewildered them in the 5-0 win. When it was over he was credited with one of the rarer feats in baseball -- a no-hitter. "The ball was moving and darting, and best of all, going where I wanted it to go." Jiménez rang up 16 strikeouts and allowed 4 walks while shutting Las Vegas down at Nuggets Park. This season Jiménez has crafted a 5-6 mark with a 3.96 ERA in 111.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .252 against him and he has 139 strikeouts. |
