Hernández and Hernández Swapped Thursday, August 4th, 2022 The Las Vegas Flamingos and Oakland Oaks have put the finishing touches on a deal that was weeks in the making. Las Vegas will part with 34-year-old RHP Tony Hernández, while the Oaks have dealt 36-year-old RHP José Hernández. "This one took a while to figure out," said the Las Vegas general manager. "We must have gone back to the drawing board five or six times over the past few weeks. I'm glad we finally got the deal done. I think it is a good one for both clubs." To date Hernández has 20 saves with a 2-2 season record and a 2.48 ERA. He also has made 31 relief appearances, thrown 29 innings and struck out 30. To date this year Hernández has fashioned a 4.15 ERA over 34.2 innings with a 3-1 record. He has made 34 relief appearances with 32 strikeouts and 2 saves. |
