Ruíz Sharp, Whitewashes Reapers Sunday, September 4th, 2022 Esteban Ruíz had the Grim Reapers dancing to his tune today with a sparkling 8-0 shutout performance for the Yellowknife Dragonblood. He gave up 2 hits, issued 2 walks and had 11 strikeouts. Grim hitters were bewildered throughout the game by his delivery. The opposing manager said, "When you face a guy who hides the ball like he does, it takes a couple of at-bats to try to find his release point. We just never figured him out." So far this year Ruíz has delivered no saves. In no relief appearances he has 154 strikeouts in 140.1 innings with a 3.14 ERA and 9 wins and 3 losses. |
