González on Fire: 5-for-5 for Chicago Thursday, June 9th, 2022 Getting 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Chicago's António González had a very special day against the Walleye when everything came together for him. He really swung the bat with authority, getting 5 hits in 5 at-bats. However, it was Walla Walla that picked up the victory. They topped the Tula 6-2 at Walleye Tank. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," González said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em. I had a great day, but the loss kinda put a damper on the day." Disappointed or not, he still gets his name written in the record books. António González singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and doubled in the 9th. González is currently batting .311 with 1 home run and 5 RBIs. |
