USSL Single A #1 Pitcher Named Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 The Pitcher of the Year Award for 2021 has been presented and the USSL Single A winner is Ismael Soto of Walla Walla. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Soto. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Walleye star told reporters. Soto excelled with an impressive 10-2 record in 14 starts. In 99.2 innings he yielded 66 hits and 26 walks, while striking out 90 and compiling a fine 1.35 ERA. Pedro Ramírez of the Athletic Club KC U-21 finished second in voting, while Tommy Middleton of the Connetquot Chiefs finished third. |
