Boyd Tosses Shutout Wednesday, August 31st, 2022 Bryan Boyd of the Bellevue Bruins spun his magic on the Hogsmeade Cauldrons today. He blanked them 4-0 on 3 hits, registering 8 strikeouts and 1 walk. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Boyd said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the Bellevue skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone." This year in 17 starts, Boyd has recorded 3 wins and absorbed 9 losses. He has pitched 125.1 innings, allowed 94 hits, struck out 146 and has a 2.01 ERA. |
