Reynaldo Maestas Hurls No-No Against Niagara Falls Saturday, August 20th, 2022 "This is one of the best moments of my life," Reynaldo Maestas said. "You never think that's going to happen -- a no-hitter." He made those comments after he held the Expos hitless in the Alameda 3-0 victory at Waterfall Park. "We simply couldn't get any wood on the ball," said the Niagara Falls manager, when asked about his epic performance. "Maestas was brilliant out there. He certainly had our number." Maestas was more humble about his historic feat and told BNN reporters that he was "just happy to get the win for the club." He faced only 30 batters in the no-hit gem, struck out 4 and walked 1. Maestas has gone 3-11 this season with an ERA of 4.08 and 80 strikeouts in 97 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .245 against him. |
