Sánchez Fires No-Hitter Against Delaware Wednesday, August 10th, 2022 How do you pitch a no-hitter and lose the game? Ask Esteban Sánchez of the Belleville Bulls. It happened to him today at Carrier Field. He did not allow the Delaware 1787 BC to get a single hit, but they won the ballgame 1-0. "I have never seen anything like it," the Belleville manager told BNN reporters after the historic event. Sánchez really zeroed in on the 1787 BC in his masterpiece, finishing with 7 strikeouts and 4 walks, but was not able to get the win. He said, "Things like this happen in baseball. I was good today. Good stuff, good location ... but no cigar." This year Sánchez has 5 wins and 3 losses and a 3.05 ERA. |
