Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Vidro Saturday, September 11th, 2021 Richland's 25-year-old shortstop Miguel Vidro has had a fine run at the plate over the last few weeks. His consecutive-game hitting streak has reached 20 games now. Today Vidro extended the streak by going 1-for-4 against Miners pitching. The streak has brought him a degree of attention that he has tried to deflect. Vidro always prefers to talk about his teammates' accomplishments rather than his own. After the Rails 5-1 triumph over Marquette at Rails Ballpark he downplayed his part in the victory. Miguel Vidro singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th. This season Vidro is batting .301 with 103 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 43 times and has 43 RBI. |
