Tyler Takes PAA's Best Bat Award Sunday, August 1st, 2021 For a rookie just breaking in, Kevin Tyler certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the PAA Batter of the Month award for July. The 31-year-old first baseman for the Myrtle Beach Mermen hit .346 with 5 home runs, 18 RBIs and 15 runs scored. This season Tyler has delivered 53 hits in 158 at-bats for a .335 average with 10 home runs. He is getting on base at a .443 clip and his totals also include 33 RBIs and 29 runs scored. This year Tyler has played in 44 games. |
