Whittier Tosses Shutout Tuesday, September 1st, 2020 In a knockout performance, Jimmy Whittier beat the Hops 1-0 with an impressive 5-hit shutout. The Rawhides hurler finished with 10 strikeouts and 2 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball. Whittier told reporters after the game, "My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working... it don't get any better than this." The Hops manager said, "It was a rough one for my guys. We weren't at our best... and their guy was." This year Whittier has compiled a 10-8 mark with a 3.35 ERA in 22 starts. |
