Alonso Tags Doubledays for 6 Hits Tuesday, September 14th, 2021 6 hits in 7 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today José Alonso of the Calgary Lynx had a sensational game against Tremont at Doubledays Stadium. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 20-9 shellacking of the Doubledays. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did ,it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off. Right, skipper?" José Alonso singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. So far this season Alonso is batting .355 with 3 home runs. |
