Ríos Hurls Reserves to Shutout Victory Saturday, September 4th, 2021 Alfredo Ríos of the Athletic Club KC Reserves spun his magic on the Brinkley Belugas today. He blanked them 8-0 on 5 hits, registering 5 strikeouts and 3 walks. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Ríos said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the Athletic Club KC skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone." Season-to-date Ríos has rung up 4 wins and 6 losses in 11 appearances. He has an ERA of 4.63 and has fanned 37 batters in 68 innings. |
