Harada Socks it to Belugas, Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, September 1st, 2021 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. It might come around only once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Takahiro Harada got one today. He scattered hits all over Belugas Ballpark to pace Santa Barbara to a 8-0 victory over Brinkley. The Brinkley skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Harada hit several that he is not supposed to hit." Takahiro Harada singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. This year Harada is batting .315 with 4 home runs and 14 RBIs. In 31 games he has scored 20 times. |
