SAAA's Best Player, Miura of Tremont Monday, August 9th, 2021 Few players his age are still in the league, but Taikan Miura of the Tremont Doubledays clearly loves the game and clearly he can still get the job done. Last week the 39-year-old first baseman hit the ball with the consistency of someone ten years younger, which made Miura a popular and well-deserved selection as USSL Triple A Player of the Week. He paced the Doubledays attack by putting up a .533 batting average, 8 hits in 15 at-bats, 9 RBIs and 3 home runs. Miura also scored 7 runs. For the season Miura is batting .290 with 64 hits and 8 home runs. He has scored 40 times and batted in 33. |
