García's Hit Streak Over Tuesday, July 27th, 2021 After 24 games, Rafael García had his hitting streak ended abruptly today by Hialeah at KC Reserve Stadium. The Reserves designated hitter failed to get a hit in 2 at-bats and his brief fling with fame has come to a halt. But García seemed to care less -- it didn't matter as Athletic Club KC took a 1-0 victory from the Dodos. García didn't dwell on the streak saying, "It was good while it lasted. If it had to end, I'm glad it ended with a victory." On the season, García is batting .397 with 1 home run and 20 RBIs. He has played in 47 games. |
