Tanner 5-for-5 for Braves Friday, July 9th, 2021 Nathan Tanner really sizzled at the plate today. In a game played at Monster Field, the Gryfindor center fielder blistered the Vermont Lake Monsters for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a 11-5 victory. "Tanner was too tough to get out today," the Lake Monsters skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Nathan Tanner singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Fernando Ruíz in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Tanner is hitting .333 this year with 10 home runs and 37 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .415, 28 walks and scored 49 times. |
