Gregg Young Nabs Best Player Trophy

He may have less experience than some veteran members of the USPL Single A, but that didn't slow Gregg Young down at alll in 2021.
At the age of 21, the South Beach first baseman has been named the winner of the USPL Single A Most Valuable Player Award.
He had a .305 batting average and a .398 on-base percentage this year. In 78 games he piled up 84 hits, 25 doubles, no triples, 8 home runs, 50 RBIs and 41 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
Chris Murray of the Gwinnett County Black Cats finished second in voting, while António Padilla of the Phoenix Hotspur U-21 finished third.
