Yellowknife Hurler Tops in Pitcher of the Year Award Voting Tuesday, September 21st, 2021 The Pitcher of the Year Award for 2021 has been presented and the USPL Single A winner is Edward Whipp of Yellowknife. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Whipp. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Dragonblood star told reporters. Whipp excelled with an impressive 11-1 record in 13 starts. In 104 innings he yielded 66 hits and 18 walks, while striking out 99 and compiling a fine 1.64 ERA. Ken Shelton of the South Beach Blaze finished second in voting, while Manny Caraballo of the Put-In-Bay BC finished third. |
