Padilla Humbles Galesburg Monday, August 16th, 2021 In an outstanding outing, Xavier Padilla tamed Galesburg on a 3-hit shutout. The Gwinnett County hurler went the distance, finishing with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 4-0 win. "He had a lot of first pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to the Galesburg manager. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today." Up to now Padilla has recorded a record of 5-4. In 13 starts he has fanned 94 batters in 101.1 innings with a 3.82 ERA. |
