5-Hit Blitz by Idaho Falls's Martínez Friday, August 6th, 2021 Enrique Martínez was unstoppable, but his club, the Chukars, was not unbeatable. Despite his hitting heroics they lost to the Galesburg Guzzlers 13-4. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book. Martínez just shook his head after the game, saying to the BNN reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins... not the most hits." Enrique Martínez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a three-run double in the 7th and singled in the 9th. To date, Martínez has collected 46 hits for a .231 average. He has posted no home runs, scored 15 runs and driven in 21 runs. |
