Stewart Out 8 Months Saturday, July 31st, 2021 Mathew Stewart could soon be placed on the disabled list. The Phoenix reliever told reporters that he expects to be "out of commission" for 8 months because of a ruptured disc. He hasn't played since 07/28/2021 and, he said, he's "itchin' to get back out there." This season Stewart has chalked up 6 saves, notched a 0-1 record with a 6.75 ERA, allowed 32 hits in his 21.1 innings of work, struck out 24 and walked 14. Opponents are hitting .344 against the Phoenix hurler. |
