Shelton Whitewashes Herons Tuesday, July 27th, 2021 Ken Shelton had an impressive outing today. He hurled the South Beach Blaze to a 6-0 shutout victory over the Hammond Herons, yielding 2 hits with 10 strikeouts and 2 walks. "He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," the Hammond skipper said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders." For the season his stats show Shelton has no saves in no relief appearances with a 7-4 record and 2.14 ERA. |
