Díaz Slaps 5 Hits Saturday, July 3rd, 2021 Who needs batting practice? Enrico Díaz of Walla Walla apparently doesn't as he battered Chicago with a 5-hit outburst in today's game to lead his club to a 8-2 win. He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 6 day... will my name be in the record books now?" Enrico Díaz doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. In the 2021 season Díaz is hitting .270 with no home runs. |
