Takahashi Wins Best SA Pitcher Wednesday, September 1st, 2021 There was little doubt around the USSL Single A that Shunen Takahashi would be awarded Pitcher of the Month honors for August. Today, they made it official, naming the 21-year-old Provo Mango starter the latest honoree. He thoroughly dominated the hitters who stood in against him, holding them to a .189 batting average while fashioning a 1.33 ERA in 5 starts. His record for the month was 5-0 in 40.2 innings of work. So far this year Takahashi has made 24 starts, tossed 183 innings, struck out 153 batters and walked 45. His record is 14-8 with a 2.70 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .232 batting average. |
