15 Ks for Gould, Beats Highwood 3-0 Friday, August 6th, 2021 Bruno Gould of the Bellevue Bruins really put on a pitching clinic today at Bellevue Field as he struck out 15 Highwood Hawks in a 3-0 victory. Gould was simply magnificent as he held the Hawks to 6 hits. He walked 0. "My fastball was okay," Gould said, "but my breaking stuff really hurt them. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Gould's performance, the Bruins manager shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was pretty good out there today. He was dominating today." Presently Gould has a 5-8 mark in 18 starts with a 3.21 ERA. He has given up 111 hits in 123.1 innings, struck out 141 and issued 32 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .238 batting average against him. |
