Rivera Razor-Sharp, Shuts out Connetquot Saturday, July 31st, 2021 Ánibal Rivera of Chicago easily handled the Connetquot Chiefs, stopping them on 2 hits and chucking a complete-game 2-0 shutout. "He really did a job on us," said the Connetquot manager. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and pretty much confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us." Rivera said, "Everything was working for me. Throwing my breaking stuff over the plate was big." He finished the game with 11 strikeouts and 1 walk in a solid outing. So far this year Rivera has a 6-5 record with a 3.80 ERA. |
