Guardado Hurls Myrtle Beach to Shutout Victory Monday, June 14th, 2021 Everything clicked on the hill today for José Guardado of the Myrtle Beach Seahawks as he hurled his club to a 2-0 shutout win over the Kennesaw Jets, limiting them to 3 hits while recording 9 strikeouts and yielding 1 walk. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches. "We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the Jets manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him." Thus far this season, Guardado has worked 56 innings with 58 strikeouts en route to a 4-1 record and a 3.05 ERA. |
