Generals Shut out by Pérez Thursday, September 2nd, 2021 Columbia hurler Tobías Pérez put on quite a show today as he blitzed the Washington Generals with a 11-0 shutout. He baffled them with fastballs and changeups, allowing 4 hits with 11 strikeouts and 1 walk to pick up the win. The opposing manager told reporters after the game, "I think every time we were looking for a fastball, he threw a changeup and every time we were looking for a changeup, he threw a fastball." To date this year, Pérez shows a 11-8 record, 21 starts, 163 innings, 176 strikeouts and a 2.10 ERA. |
