Pérez Blitzes Mt. Vernon Sunday, August 29th, 2021 "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," the Columbia skipper said after Manny Pérez shut out the Mt. Vernon Bulls 4-0 on a 4-hit masterpiece. Pérez registered 11 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in a gem of a performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well...or he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said the Mt. Vernon manager after the defeat. In 20 starts this season Pérez has gathered 10 wins while suffering 9 losses. He has pitched 170 innings, allowed 129 hits, struck out 173 and has a 1.85 ERA. |
