Barajas Hurls Masterpiece Monday, August 17th, 2020 Carlos Barajas had the Myrtle Beach Mermen dancing to his tune today with a sparkling 10-0 shutout performance for the Richland Rails. He gave up 2 hits, issued 3 walks and had 6 strikeouts. Myrtle Beach hitters were bewildered throughout the game by his delivery. The opposing manager said, "When you face a guy who hides the ball like he does, it takes a couple of at-bats to try to find his release point. We just never figured him out." This year Barajas has fashioned a 2-4 mark, 5.34 ERA and pitched 55.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .259 against him and he has logged 36 strikeouts. |
