PAA Trophy Goes to Jiménez of Mercer Island Monday, August 10th, 2020 Luis Jiménez burst onto the USPL Double A stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie shortstop for Mercer Island garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 23-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .522 (12-for-23) with no home runs and 2 RBIs last week. This year Jiménez is hitting .312, produced 30 RBIs and 2 home runs, scored 36 times and gotten on base at a .341 rate. |
