Total Control: Richland No-Hit by Stewart Wednesday, August 5th, 2020 In a brilliant performance at Rails Ballpark, Springfield pitcher Austin Stewart entered an elite group today by tossing a no-hitter against the Richland Rails. Hurling a complete game he fanned 5 and walked 4 in the 4-0 victory. In the clubhouse, Stewart said, "I was getting my off-speed stuff over so they couldn't sit on the fastball. My guys made some nice plays behind me, too, and cut off several hits." This season Stewart has gone 11-2 with an ERA of 2.24, posting 76 strikeouts in 92.1 innings. |
